Yea Peppercorn Hotel is located opposite the old Yea Railway Station which is part of The Great Victorian Rail Trail.  This rail trail is one of the longest rail trails in Victoria covering 134km of gorgeous country side connecting towns and communities from Tallarook to Mansfield  with an extension to Alexandra. We are in the perfect position for you to drop in for a coffee, refreshing drink or light lunch during your ride or walk.

The Yea Railway Station (opposite the hotel) is one of the best remaining examples of gothic style stations in Victoria with its excellent tuck-pointed brickwork. The railway station is now home to the Yea Market which is held the 1st Sunday of each month.

Mount Buller is a town located in the Shire of Mansfield in the Alpine region of the Australian state of Victoria.

We are located half way between Melbourne and Mansfield (Mount Buller). This is why Yea Peppercorn Hotel is a convenient place to stay on your way to the snow. A huge amount of our guests leave work on Friday from Melbourne and stay and eat with us on Friday night, rise early and take off to Mount Buller to make the most of the weekend. The guests stay with us on their way as they prefer not to traverse the mountain in their cars at night.

Located within easy reach of the Yarra Valley, Yea is the ideal weekend getaway in Victoria, serving as a launching point for touring some of the prettiest landscape you will find within 1 ¼ hours of Melbourne. Drive through charming Flowerdale or the tall trees and ancient rainforests of Kinglake National Park and you will find the small heritage town of Yea.
